Black Forest Inn "Festival on the Lawn" is launched as the first of many such annual events in the Central Black Hills, South Dakota, summer 2009. "Festival on the Lawn" inaugurates its first summer event premiering Metal and Bronzed, Marble and carved stone Sculptures from well known artists in the Upper Great Plains region of Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Those who attended - listened to great music by the Black Hills Song Writers Group, heard Native American Flute and mens traditional dancing by Jim & Gabe Yellowhawk, visited with local artists, and dined very well on the "Bistro on the Terrace" at Black Forest Inn, Hwy 385, Black Hills South Dakota. Christine & Richard VanNess, owners of Crow Ridge Productons, took care of the Sound Equipment details for the first annual "Festival on the Lawn,"at the Black Forest Inn, South Dakota.   Introduction, flute song, traditional Lakota Dancing and full interview with Jim Yellowhawk and Son, Gabe at the "Festival on the Lawn" first annual event at the Black Forest Inn, Hwy 385, Central Black Hills near Pactola Lake. The "Festival" premiered bronze, stone, and metal Sculptures by well known artists, Black Hills Songwriters Group, and much more.

Black Forest Inn's "Bistro on the Terrace" features Tristin & Chris, returning chefs from summer 2008 launch. The "Bistro on the Terrace" features a central European flair in the menu, and premiering, for the first time, Foris 'fly-over' whites & red wines from Foris Winery, south west Oregon. Other carefully selected wines are served on the beautiful patio setting near Pactola Lake, within about an hour of all Black Hills South Dakota vacation destinations, including Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Reptile Gardens, Devils Tower, Animal Sanctuary, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally venue, and more.

The "Bistro on the Terrace" offers a romantic evening setting for a very special summer destination dining experience.
